I survived Snowmagedon 2010!

Hi guys,

Just wanted to send you a quick email before I leave to pick up the kids from school and then....board our plane to VEGAS!!! And yes, I'm VERY excited!

In the last few weeks my driving and sense of direction has really improved! I have started driving the older girls to water polo in Annapolis and I drive on busy freeways in peak hour traffic! To give you an idea, the trip home takes 40minutes, but the trip there has taken me almost 2 hours most days! I thought Sydney traffic was bad, but this is ridiculous! To make matters a little worse, I am still learning my way around so it's stressful not knowing if an exit is coming up and i’m in the 4th lane over.

I don’t know if you've seen the news and the amount of snow we got dumped on us recently...but thankfully the weather is warming up and the melting has started. Some of the roads are still only ploughed for single lane traffic, which makes local driving a little tricky. But the highways, apart from the crazy ozone-hole sized potholes, are reasonably good.

And today is gonna be great. I’m meeting my Au Pair mum in Vegas with the three girls and we are seeing Love by Cirque de Soleil tomorrow night. I'll be back late Saturday night and we have our second Au Pair cluster meeting on Sunday. We are going outdoor skating at the Sculpture Gardens on the Mall (that's where all the museums are).

Well I better go.

Cass
