More news before Christmas

On my previous entry I told you all about my magical Christmas weekend where I got to cut down a real tree and get my photo taken with Santa. I really didn't think anything would top that...until now!

Last weekend started off with a trip to the Kennedy Center of Performing Arts in DC to see that National Symphony Orchestra perform their annual Christmas concert and this year it was conducted by Marvin Hamlisch!! It was incredible! The music was great, performers were amazing and the special guest for night (besides Santa of course) was the lady who lent her voice to 'The Little Mermaid" - one of my favourite Disney princesses! I was definitely star struck that night.
The next morning we got up in sub-freezing temperatures to take a road trip to New Jersey and then on to New York. While in New Jersey I didn't see any of the infamous Jersey Shore crew (thankfully) but we did get to buy cakes from Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken - the famous 'Cake Boss' from the reality show of the same name. I really hope you have all had the privileged to watch Buddy and his crew. It is one of my favourite shows to watch with the kids! The cakes were definitely worth the line-up outside in the rain

Then it was off to New York City to see the famous Rockerfella Christmas tree, skate at the Rockerfella ice rink and see the Rocketts perform their Christmas Spectacular at the Radio City Music Hall. That was most definitely, without a doubt, absolutely the highlight of my weekend!!
