The Liberty Bell to Annapolis for seafood and ice-cream

Cassandra Moscos is currently in the US on the Au Pair USA program. Here's an extract:

I can't believe that I am now in my 5th month over here! Time flies when you are having fun, but it really does shoot right past you when you are having the time of your life!

I took my host family to a Greek Spring festival in Maryland last Sunday where we got to sample lots of amazing foods, drink coffee, and dance the zorba (which I have now successfully taught the girls to dance!) I really don't think that the Australian and American cultures are all that different, so it was nice to share my Greek culture with the family instead. And this coming weekend we are having our monthly cluster meeting at another Greek festival in DC.

I have taken a few day trips these last few weeks to try and see as much of the surrounding areas as I can. My other Au Pair friends are more than happy to join me. We have been to Annapolis for seafood and ice-cream, Baltimore to visit the grave of Edgar Allen Poe, and over the next few weeks I want to make it up to Philly to see the Liberty Bell. As the weather starts to warm up, I am sure we will be trying to work out how to get to the nearest beaches around here too :)

And today I made muffins for the girls as a surprise after school, made my own french knitting loom out of an empty toilet roll and skewers then taught myself how to french knit, and did a load of washing and hung it out on our new hills hoist! Martha Stewart eat your heart out :)

Until next time...
